About Us

Iowa Campus Compact is a coalition of college and university presidents committed to fostering in students the values and skills of civic engagement by:

• Strengthening existing community service and service learning and develop new civic engagement initiatives and collaborative service efforts among educational institutions, community organizations, and non-profit organizations across the state.
• Enhancing educational practices by organizing and conducting workshops, conferences, and training opportunities for directors of community service, service learning, and volunteer programs, and for faculty, students, and community partners.
• Obtaining and administering grants and other types of funding to support existing community service learning and/or to develop new initiatives at member institutions.
• Informing Iowa institutions of higher education about service opportunities in other educational areas, including K-12.

The functions of the Compact shall be carried out through the Executive Committee meetings, the Executive Director, and committees established by the Executive Committee and the Executive Director.
