2012-2013 Professional Development Events and Programs
Campus Speaker Network – Tap into mini-grants to bring network speakers to your campus to help advance your institution's level of engagement or sign up to be a speaker.

Engaged Campus Professional Development Webinars – We are working with the national network to continue offering a series of interactive, online trainings in a variety of topics in civic engagement throughout the 2012-2013 academic year. Specific dates, topics and registration information will be available in the coming months.

Peer Coaching Circles for Civic Engagement Leaders – Would you like to come together with colleagues regularly for mutual support and learning?  For just $80, enjoy seven monthly meetings or conference calls with a small group of peers.  Over the course of each two-hour circle, every participant will have time devoted to the issue or challenge s/he raises, as well as time to listen closely to others, practice asking powerful questions, and share experiences and resources.  

Engaged Scholar Faculty Fellowships – new in 2013, this program will support encouraging and deepening faculty engagement and create a statewide network of engaged scholars. 

Events
Program Advisory Council Workshops - This year, meetings of the Program Advisory Council will be hosted by campuses around the state and will include workshops and other training that is open to all faculty and staff from member schools.

Midwest Campus Compact STEM Consortium Workshop Community-Engaged Learning for Food Sustainability, May 16, 2013, St. Olaf College, Minnesota – The final aspect of our regional Learn and Serve America grant program will be several workshops for faculty, staff, community partners, and/or student leaders interested in advancing service-learning in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines.

Upper Midwest Civic Engagement Summit, May 29 and 30, 2013, Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa - Iowa Campus Compact will host the second annual summit in collaboration with Minnesota and Wisconsin Campus Compact.

Diving In: Campus Compact's Institute for New Civic and Community Engagement Professionals, June 5-7, 2013, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX 

Diving Deep, National Campus Compact Institute for Experienced Service-Learning Practitioners, July 9-12, 2013, Des Moines - Iowa Campus Compact will host the third iteration of this national institute designed for practitioners with five or more years experience in the field.
