National Presidents' Leadership Summit

On October 12 and 13, 2010, at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Campus Compact convened member college and university presidents to collectively plan how to respond to President Obama’s call to action that every child has access to a complete and competitive college education to succeed in the global workplace. The summit resulted in the report "A Promising Connection: Increasing College Access and Success Through Civic Engagement." Find more information and resources on the national Campus Compact web site.

The 2012 Presidents' Leadership Summit has been scheduled for October 15 and 16 in Chattanooga, TN. This summit, titled "Developing Vital, Vibrant & Healthy Communities through Democratic Partnerships and Civic Engagement," will explore the connections between community and economic development and civic engagement in higher education.

More information will be available soon. Iowa Campus Compact member presidents interested in attending should contact Emily Shields.
