Iowa Students Chosen for Newman Civic Fellows
Congratulations to four students from Iowa Campus Compact member institutions on being nominated by their campus president and joining 136 students nationwide as part of the inaugural Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellows.
Wartburg Professor National Award Finalist
Dr. Fred Waldstein, Wartburg College professor of political science, has received national recognition for his efforts promoting civic engagement. Waldstein was among five finalists for the Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award bestowed by Campus Compact, a coalition of 1,100 college and university presidents promoting “the civic purposes of higher education.”
