Iowa Campus Compact advances the public purposes of college and universities by depending their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. The Iowa Campus Compact AmeriCorps Program was created to increase levels of volunteerism among college students in Iowa as part of their academic experience, while engaging them in their local campus community. Members help meet the greatest needs in their local campus community by volunteering 300 or 450 hours of service during an academic year.

Upon successfully completing service, members receive a $1,131 or $1,415 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to apply towards eligible tuition or student loans. This program is in partnership with the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service and the Corporation for National and Community Service. Iowa Campus Compact member institutions are eligible to participate in the program at no cost upon approval through the application process.
